Gananatha Nayanar

Gananatha Nayanar was one of the 63 nayanars explained in the Periya Puranam. He was a Brahmin of Sirkali and a great devotee of Lord Shiva. He used to talk with other people about the glory and greatness of Lord Shiva. Many people visited him for his advice. He invariably gave people works in temple. He was also devoted to Jnana Sambandar. Gananatha Nayanar served Shiva and his bhaktas for a long time and entered the Lord's abode.
