Gaiki

Gaiki is a term associated with music. It is a mode or practice of singing a raga in different variations according to the instruction of the teacher. The singing of a composition in one’s own style with tan, alankar (repetition of musical notes) and grace is also termed as Gaiki. It also relies on Gharana, the school to which the singer belongs.
