Floss Silk Tree




Floss Silk Tree (Chorisia speciosa), a large tree that resembles Ceiba pentandra, is found throughout tropical India. It is a native of Brazil and Argentina.

It grows on a variety of soil textures, but mostly prefers well-drained soil. The tree is cultivated for its beautiful flowers, bright pink with white streaks at the center. The seedpod is used to stuff cushions.
