Fallessery




Fallessery is a small village situated in the Minicoy Island of Lakshadweep. It has its own internal organization, customs and food habits. The village has a Moopan or Bodukaka (head-man of the village) and Bodudatha (head-woman of the village). The internal organization of the village is headed by the Mooppan. There is a beautifully maintained village house. Fishing is the main occupation of the people. Mahl is the language spoken. The village boat is known as Lanchi.
