Eurasian Wigeon (Anas Penelope) is a large dabbling duck of about 45 to 50 cm. It has a rufous head, narrow neck, thin blue bill and pointed tail and wing tips. It mainly feeds on grasses and pondweeds, but occasionally consumes insects as well. Both sexes have brown eyes, blue-gray legs and feet, white belly and upper middle coverts, blue bill with a black tip, black nostrils and a green speculum on each wing.
The bird usually nests in the ground near a water source. Six to twelve eggs are laid.
Eurasian Wigeon can be seen in the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Rajasthan.
