Eurasian Treecreeper (Certhia familiaris) is a small bird of about 12 cm, found throughout India. Even though it is a small bird it looks bigger with its long, slender, down curved bill and long tail. It has brown upperparts and white underparts.
Eurasian Treecreeper feeds on insects and spiders, and some seeds in winter. Its call is a thin high-pitched ‘tsee, tsee’ sound.
Eurasian Treecreeper can be seen in the
Singalila National Park, West Bengal.
