Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia) is a tall white water bird with long spatulate black bills and long black legs. The bird flies with necks and legs extended.
In water, it feeds with elegant sideward sweeps of their bill. During breeding season adults show some yellow on its breast and bill tip. The bird feeds on aquatic insects and small fish.
Spoonbill can be seen in the Chitrangudi Bird Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu and Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Rajasthan.
