Ege is a conical shaped basket belonging to the Dafla tribe of
Arunachal Pradesh. It is used for carrying heavy loads while climbing mountains. The person carrying the load has to bend while moving upwards. The conical shape of the basket proves advantageous in such a situation. The basket rests flat on the back of the person while the opposite side bulges out. The flat side is slightly flexible for the easy fitting on the back.
