Dusky Diadem Butterfly

Dusky Diadem (Ethope himachala) is a common butterfly of dark brown colour, which lives close to streams. It is widely distributed in Nongpoh, Meghalaya. The wing (6 to 8 cm) is rounded in shape with a complete row of prominent eye spots towards the outer edge, and carries three prominent dark lines.
