Dhodro Banam is believed to have originated in Central Asia. It contains only one string and the body is long. It is partially open in the upper part, while the lower part is covered by animal hide. The lower part is thinner than the upper part. This instrument features carvings of animals and human beings done in a typical tribal fashion.
