Dhathamandir

Bandi Temple

Dhathamandir is located 4 km below Mohora, on the Jhelum Valley Cart road in Baramulla District. It is midway between the towns of Rampur and Uri.

The temple, which literally means 'the ruined temple, is similar in style to the Buniar Temple; the difference being in the material used in building the cells and the absence of colonnade in its central structure. The central shrine, which faces north-east, is made with green lime stone. The pedestal of the image still exists defying time. On the north-western corner of the courtyard are two small shrines, which are replicas of the main building itself.

The remains of two small shrines, which are replicas of the main shrine, can be seen on the nearby hillside, few yards to the south-east of the main temple.
