Dharmnath

Dharmnath is the 16th Tirthankar among the 24 Jain Tirthankars. He was born to king Bhanu of Ratnapur and queen Suvrata on the third day of the bright half of the month of Magh.

Dharmnath ascended to the throne and successfully ruled his kingdom for a long period. After couple of years, he became an ascetic. He attained enlightenment after two years of intensive penance.

Dharmnath attained Nirvana at Samet Shikhar. He had around 43 disciples. The emblem of Lord Dharmnath is Vajardanda.
