Dhanwanthari Ayurveda Kendra is a center for traditional Ayurveda treatments and research. It is spread over an area of 40 acres in a lush green Village at Perumbavoor. The center offers several Ayurvedic treatments - Sodhana Chikitsa (a purification treatment), Rasayana Chikitsa (monsoon rejuvenation treatment program), Vajeekarana Chikitsa (aphrodisiac treatment) and Kayakalpa Chikitsa (immunization treatment). The courses of treatment vary between 3, 7, 11, 14, 21 and 28 days according to the nature of the disease and response of the patient.
The center also conducts demonstration programs on Ayurveda, yoga, Indian dance forms, Kalaripayattu, Jyotisha, Vastuvidya and meditation.
Cochin International Airport is the nearest airfield, which is 48 km from this place. The nearest railhead is 20 km away.
