Dhamma, a
sanskrit word, is the teachings of
Lord Buddha. The word Dhamma literally means truth, and it is not a revelation or a legendary assumption with a theological support but the general Universal truths discovered by a unique and enlightened religious teacher.
Dhamma includes three parts, which are the doctrinal (pariyatti), the practical (patipatti) and the realizable (pativedha). The doctrinal part teaches the theory that should be learnt in its real purity. The second part of Dhamma is the application and practice of these teaching and the livelihood in keeping the teachings of the Buddha. Achieving wisdom and attaining the real knowledge of the realities of all phenomena in the world is the third part.
