Deepa Lakshmi

Deepa Lakshmi is a particular variety of oil lamp symbolic to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of light and wealth. This lamp is shaped in a divine female form.

Some lamps of this variety depict the goddess holding the lamp bowl in her hands. In other varieties, she is shown standing on a tortoise, a bull or an elephant. In some exotic varieties, the lamp is adorned with figures of elephants.
