Daniel Babu Paul




Daniel Babu Paul, a former member of the Indian Administrative Service, is a multi-faceted personality. He had his primary education in Kurupumpadi MGM High School at Perumbavoor in Ernakulam and took his degree in Engineering (Civil) from Engineering College. He passed the all India Civil Service Examination securing the 7th rank and joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1964.

D. Babu Paul is a writer, orator, and lexicographer. He wrote several books, including travelogues, biographies, memoirs, and essay collections. His Bible Dictionary, the first in Malayalam, describes approximately 4000 captions in about 600000 words, based on research for 22 years and was written over a period of 9 years. Alexander Marthoma Award, Christian Literary Award, Kerala History Association Award, and Rajiv Gandhi Award are some among his achievements. He retired in the rank of Chief Secretary.
