Cultural Centre of Russia




The Cultural Centre of Russia, established in 1975, is situated at Mumbai - the Gateway of India. It stands as a living monument of the friendly relations India and Russia traditionally enjoyed. The center aims to promote Russian culture through Russian films, ballet and music shows, dance programs and literary events. The center conducts various activities in the fields of culture, science and business. Russian language studies and other programs are organized regularly.

The Cultural Centre of Russia houses an art gallery, art studio, institute of Russian language, library, conference hall and an auditorium. The art gallery exhibits paintings, handicrafts and sculptures by renowned Russian and Indian artists. Its art studio boasts a wide range of albums and catalogues on Russian visual arts, sculpture, decorative arts and traditional and contemporary designs. The library has a rich collection of Russian classical literature and rare translations of Russian authors into various Indian languages.

The students of Cultural Centre of Russia organize cultural programs based on Russian stories on Indian Independence Day. In addition, the center provides necessary information for students and scholars who want to visit Russia for higher studies.
