Country Mallow is a small, downy, erect shrub with long branches and tawny-yellow flowers found throughout tropical and sub-tropical areas. The leaves are ovate-oblong and very downy on both surfaces. The fruits have a pair of awns on each carpel.
Its root, bark, leaves, seeds, and fruits are used in medicine. Country Mallow is used in the treatment of spermatorrhea, polyurea, leucorrhea, and certain nervine disorders such as monoplegia, sciatica and palsy.
