Coomb Teak (Latin name, Gmelina arborea) is a branchless tree found scattered in deciduous forests throughout the greater parts of India. The bark is smooth and pale gray in color. The leaves, generally ovate, are opposite, cordate and glandular.
The drupes, leaves, flower, roots and bark are used in medicine. Coomb Teak is also known as Gambhari, Kasmari, Gandhari, Shriparni and Bhadraparni.
