Common Iora (Aegithina tiphia) is a small bird (15 cm) with bright yellow bottom and dark green crown. Female has dull green upperparts and dull yellow underparts. The bird mainly feeds on insects. Its nest is a small, loose, deep, cup-shaped one carefully built on the fork at the end of branch of a small tree. Female lays three greenish white eggs.
The bird can be spotted in the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Karnataka.
