Common Crow Butterfly

Common crow (Euploea core core) is a black colored butterfly of 7 cm, found throughout India. Wings carry small or large white spots.

The male flies with its extended powder puff-like yellow hair pencils and curved abdomen. It is fond of flowers of fiddle-leaved jatropha, scarlet-bush, lantana, common zinnia, pink cocks' comb and aztec marigold.
