Church of St Francis Xavier is situated in Mooduperar, 26 km from
Mangalore in
Karnataka. The Church has thirteen parish wards. The Church of St Francis Xavier was part of the Pezar parish. The new parish was formed on March 31, 1912. The existing Church was blessed on December 28, 1932. The church has a presbytery, bell tower and cemetery. An elementary school, recently upgraded, is functioning under the guidance of the Church authorities.
The Church is easily reachable by road from Mangalore.
