Chundal




Chundal is a special dish prepared by the South Indians on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. It is specially made for distribution as prasad on all the nine days of the celebration. This special item is a mix of boiled chick peas garnished with grated coconut. It is typically eaten when people visit their friends’ homes to see the Bommai Kolus or doll displays. This is nutritious and high in proteins that gives energy especially for vegetarians.
