Chiretta is an erect annual found in the temperate
Himalayas. The stems are robust, and cylindrical below and 4-angled upwards, with broadly lanceolate leaves. The flowers are lurid greenish yellow, tinged with purple.
A drug is obtained from the dried plant. It is also known as Kirata.
