Chinsurah Bus Station is in the heart of Chinsurah township, about 50 km from Kolkata. Buses ply from Chinsurah to Bankura, Bardhaman, Nadia, Howrah and Midnapore. Inter-state services are operated to Orissa and Jharkhand.
The octagonal Dutch Church (built in 1768), Hooghly Imambarah, Bandemataram House, Bandel Church and Fort Gustavus are some of the major tourist spots nearby.
Taxis, rickshaws and ferries (across the Ganges) are available for local travel.
