Also spelt Chikhali, Chikhli town is situated in Buldhana District in the Vidarbha Region. It is one of the urban and banking centers of the district. The district headquarters lies to the north of it.
The Urs of Sharif Sailani Shah Miya, held at Pimpalgaon Sarai, is an important festival of the town.
Chikhli falls on the Chikhli-Mehkar-Malegaon State Highway 176. Khamgaon Railway Station and Aurangabad Airport are the nearest railway station and airport.
