Chholar Ghugni




Chholar Ghugni is a soupy preparation of chick peas. The chick peas are soaked overnight before pressure cooking. The cooked chick peas along with coconut scrapings is mixed with sautéd onions, tomato, green chillies, ginger paste, curry powders, spices, bay leaves and cumin and sprinkled with black salt before serving. Chholar Ghugni is a good accompaniment with puri or luchis or parathas.
