Chhiruti is located by the Bhagirathi River, in Murshidabad District of West Bengal. Berhampore is around 18 km to its north-east. Kandi, Beldanga and Hariharpara are some prominent towns nearby.

Hazarduari Palace, Katra Mosque, Moti Jheel and Nawajesh Muhammad's Mosque are the surrounding places of tourist interest.

The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. Berhampore Court Railway Station is its main station.
