Chanderi Fort

Chanderi is a fascinating hill fort in the Karjat region (Matheran range) of the Sahyadris. Rock-cut caves and water cisterns are the main attractions here.

The best way to access the fort is from Badlapur Railway Station. Hire an auto-rickshaw up to Chinchavali Wadi, from there a walk of about 45 minutes will get you to the base of Chanderi fort.
