Chamomile




Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) is an evergreen herb that grows in sandy soil. This perennial plant has feathery leaves and white daisy-like flowers.

It is reported to be a tonic, anti-spasmodic, carminative, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispetic, vulnery, aromatic, bitter, diaphoretic, emmenagogue, nervine and sedative. An infusion is used in skin fresheners and skin care ointment. Propagation is mainly by seed and division of runners.
