Chamba Valley, also known as Ravi Valley, is a beautiful dale hemmed between Dhauladhar and the Pir Pangal ranges in Himachal Pradesh.
The air here is refreshing while the sight of little villages and hamlets extending over the landscape is of unsurpassable charm. The towns of Chamba, Bharmaur, Dalhousie and Khajjiar are situated along this pretty dale.
Chamba Valley is well known for its medicinal herbs and the varieties of flowers. Lower parts of the valley have thick vegetation characterized by olive, pomegranate and fig trees, growing mingled with acacia, Shisham and Pipal. Terraced cultivation is prevalent in mountain slopes. Thick forests cover the northern mountain slopes while it is quite bare on the southern end. Rich fields line the lower levels of the valley.
