Founded in 1953, Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI) is India's premier research laboratory under the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The headquarters is at

Their thrust areas of research include microwave tubes, semiconductor devices and electronics systems, speech technology, communication systems, electronic aids for education, advanced sensor technologies, process control instrumentation and automation and machine vision technologies.
