Catnip




Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is is a hardy perennial herb with textured gray-green leaves and pale mauve flowers. The herb requires sun and moist and well-drained soil.

Catnip is considered a carminative, anti-spasmodicm, diaphoretic, sedative and astringent. Catnip is given in cold and flu. Propagation is by cuttings in summer or root division in spring or fall.
