Castle of Tingmosgang, a historic monument, is situated 92 km west of
Leh in
Jammu and Kashmir. It was built by Gragpa Bum, the 17th king of the Ladakhi Dynasty.
The castle is one of the prominent pilgrim spots, and popular of the attractions here is the image of Avalokitesvara, which is believed to have been self-originated.
