The Calcutta School of Music is a premier institute for the teaching of Western Classical Music. Established in 1915, the school has separate departments for teaching Indian music, Indian dance, and instrumental music. It also arranges orchestral and various other concerts. Ghazal, Thumri, and Kheyal. The school houses a spacious library. Master classes are also arranged under musicians of global repute.
