CP Ramaswami Aiyar Institute of Indological Research was founded under the auspices of the CP Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation in 1981. The Institute conducts research projects, courses, seminars and lectures on Indian art, culture and society. It has a library with a substantial collection of literature on Indian culture and philosophy. Translations of rare Sanskrit manuscripts are also promoted here. The Institute also has a number of publicaions on Indological studies.
