Bumazuv




Bumazuv is a historic place located about a mile from Mattan in Anantnag Distict, Jammu and Kashmir. The place became famous with the cave-temple and the only significant group of artificial caves in Kashmir. These caves, also known as the Bumazuv Caves, are of architectural interest. Two ancient temples which are converted to Muslim ziarats are also of historic interest. One of the shrines is named as Ziarat of Baba Bamdin Sahib.

By road, Bumazuv can be approached from Anantnag which is only a few km away on the Pahalgam road. The nearest railway station is at Jammu and the nearest airport is at Srinagar.
