Buddhi

Buddhi is one among the wives of Lord Ganesh and also the sister of Siddhi.

Buddhi represents ‘wisdom’. The word 'Buddhi' literally means ‘knowledge,’ which teaches one discretion and prudence. Fourteen types of knowledge and sixty-four types of arts are created by Buddhi and are under her control.

Buddhi is not separate from Lord Ganesh, she is within Him. It is very difficult to complete any work, if one’s buddhi does not function properly. That is why Lord Ganesh is worshipped before starting any new work. Thereby, one can receive the blessings from goddess Buddhi and the earn the divine knowledge within her.
