Buddha Parikrama Express



Introduced in 1999, Buddha Parikrama Express is a tourist train connecting historical Buddhist pilgrimage sites. This train service is a joint venture of the Railway Ministry and Ashok Travels and Tours, an in-house travel agency of Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC.) The train touches major Buddhist centers such as Howrah, Gorakhpur, Gaya, Rajgir and Varanasi. It is a 13 coach express which offers finest Indian hospitality and is specially made to make the journey most memorable.

Buddha Parikrama Express provides all modern facilities for the passengers. There is a coach particularly reserved for offering payers. Packages include rail fare, travel by luxury coaches, site seeing with guides and meals. Bookings for these trains can be made through Indian Railway representatives abroad and tour operators who offer additional excursions. Tickets are available at:
