Budbudke

Budbudke, also known as Kudukuduppe, is a miniature form of Damaru seen in the hands of Madari (a class of people) throughout India. This small drum is only a few centimeter in length and is made of wood. The drum has two parchment area on either side and is held by means of thick cotton threads.

Madari places two strings, tied with knots, on both ends of his waist. While shaking or twirling these knots beat on the drum and a rattling sound is produced, which accompanies a song by Madari.
