Brihat Jataka is an ancient text of astrology. It was written by sage Varaha Mihira (505-587). He summarized all the available knowledge of astronomy and astrology available during his times to create this masterpiece. This classic text is still in vogue with the Indian astrologers.
The Brihat Jataka describes the nature and power of each of the 12 houses in astrology. Written in a cryptic manner, this text is difficult to comprehend at the starter level. Varahamihira through his book followed a different approach to predictive astrology, as compared to Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra.
