Birbhum Bus Station




Birbhum Bus Station is in the city center, about 200 km from Kolkata. It is connected to the Kolkata-Shantiniketan route. The station operates regular buses to Asansol, Chittaranjan, Midnapore, Shantiniketan, Hooghly, Durgapur, Kalna, Katwa and Ranigunj.

The nearest railway station is at Bolpur (2 km.) Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the nearest airport.

The major attractions include the buildings of Visva Bharati campus such as Uttarayan Complex, Kala Bhavan and Sangeet Bhavan. In addition, Nandan Museum, Chatimtola, Sriniketan, Deer Park and Kankalitala are places worth a visit.

In the vicinity of the station there are tourist lodges and tourist cottages run by the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation.
