Bina Barua

An eminent novelist, Bina Barua (1908-1964) is credited with the writing of Jivinar Batat ('On the thoroughfare of Life'), a masterpiece in Assamese literature. Bina was an imaginative writer who had much zeal and interest in the cultural field. He was also interested in social history, folk-lore, cultural anthropology, and literary criticism.
