Bigha is a traditional unit to measure land area in South Asia. Bigha varies in size in different regions. It is less than an acre (0.4 hectare) in India. But in Central India, it is less than 5/8 acre (1.2529 hectare).
20 katthas form one Bigha, and each kattha includes 20 dhurs.
One kattha = 720 square feet, therefore one Bigha contains 14400 square feet.
