Bhulias

The Bhulias are the major inhabitants of Sambalpur in Orissa. Their main occupation is weaving. The internationally renowned Sambalpuri Sarees are the hand made products of the Bhulias.

The Bhulias occupy a higher rank than the ordinary weavers. Bhulias literarily means 'one who is forgotten'.
