Bheemunipatnam Beach

About 24 km from Visakhapatnam is the calm and serene Bheemunipatnam Beach. Gosthani River enters the Bay of Bengal here. Bheemunipatnam town was a Dutch settlement and the ruins of a 17th century fort and cemetery are seen here. The beach is also known as 'Bheemli' and is considered as the safest for swimmers.

Visakhapatnam Airport is well connected by air with major metros such as Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai. The nearest railway station is Visakhapatnam Junction Railway Station. Buses ply from Visakhapatnam to Bheemunipatnam.
