Bharthuvakesuvar Temple is a highly revered shrine situated at
Kodambakkam, one of the oldest areas of
Chennai. This 500 years old shrine enshrines
Lord Shiva as the presiding deity. The deity is installed in a form of a
Shivling. Other deities worshipped here include Amman,
Lord Hanuman,
Lord Ganesh, Manikkavachakar,
Lord Muruga with Valli and Devanai, and Swarnambika.
