Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, the present vice president of India, was born on 23 October 1923, in Khachariyawas of
Rajasthan, as the son of Shri Devi Singh Shekhawat and Shrimati Banne Kanwar. Always one of the kingpins of Indian politics, he is a straightforward man with great visions. He was elected as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan three times. He is interested in social service and the overall development of his motherland.
He has launched many landmark programs, including those with a focus on poverty alleviation. He has travelled widely, is innovative and has many social, cultural, literary and artistic interests.
