Bhaijiutia Festival

Bhaijiutia Festival is celebrated on the Mahastami Day of Durga Puja. On this auspicious day, women undergo total fasting for the whole day and night in order to invoke the grace of Goddess Durga for the prosperity of their brothers. This festival is more predominant in the regions of western Orissa.
