Bhagirath Kharak Glacier is located about 15 km from Badrinath in Chamoli District of Uttaranchal. The altitude of the glacier is 3,820 m and it rises from the eastern slopes of Chaukhamba and Badrinath peaks. Alaknanda River rises from the glacier and passes through Bhagirath Kharak and Satopanth Glaciers.
